Urban Nest at CKBS December 23
I came with a lot of expectation to spot many birds. And my expectations were not just completely met but were, in fact, exceeded. This morning has been a wonderful one. Thank you Wish Foundation.
- That's one of the participants' feedback at the end of Urban Nest on December 23 at Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary. Thank you birders for joining us for this trip, as it's incomplete without you.
Divided into two groups, the nature-enthusiasts explored the sanctuary, which is like a green island in the midst of a concrete jungle, just beside a highway. And our winged friends were a delight to our eyes.
From Drongos and Bulbuls to Parakeets and Orioles the local birds gave competition to migrant guests like the Great Tit, Blyth's Reed Warbler, Verditer Flycatcher etc.
Lot of snaps and looking through binoculars later, it was time to click a group pic. After all, not everyday you wake up and walk through dense foliage, listening to a symphony of bird calls and spotting them too!
